ParkScout - Privacy Policy

Effective date: March 27, 2026

This policy covers both versions of ParkScout, a parking finder app built by Novusy: ParkScout (free, with ads) and ParkScout Pro (paid, without ads).

Location Data

Both versions use your device's GPS location to find parking near you and show it on a map. Your location is used only for this purpose and is never stored or logged. Location data is not shared with any advertising service.

Advertising (Free Version Only)

The free version (ParkScout) displays non-personalized ads served by Google AdMob. Non-personalized ads do not use behavioral targeting or build an advertising profile about you.

To deliver ads, Google AdMob may collect limited technical data including your IP address, device information (model, operating system), and ad interaction data (impressions and taps). This data is handled by Google under their privacy policy.

The paid version (ParkScout Pro) does not contain any advertising SDK and none of the above data is collected.

Data We Do Not Collect

Neither version collects, stores, or shares personal data. There are no user accounts, no analytics, and no tracking. The only third-party data collection is through Google AdMob in the free version, described above.

Third-Party Services

Both versions use OpenStreetMap, a publicly available mapping service, as the source for parking location data. Parking locations are displayed on Google Maps within the app.

The free version also uses Google AdMob to display ads, as described in the Advertising section above.

Children's Privacy

Neither version collects personal data from anyone, including children under 13. Ads in the free version are non-personalized and are not targeted at children.

Changes to This Policy

If this policy changes, the updated version will be posted at this URL with a new effective date.
